Mysore, Dec. 26 (RK&RNN)- The Mysore Division of the Department of Posts 
and Telegraphs has organised a four-day programme of conducting road shows 
throughout the district to create awareness among rural people about the 
benefits under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) scheme launched by the Central 
Government in 1994. 
The road shows programme, which was launched from the office of the 
Superintendent of Posts and Telegraphs at Yadavagiri this morning, was 
inaugurated by Kadakola Gram Panchayat Vice-President Nanjamma in the presence 
of Senior Superintendent of Posts and Telegraphs S. Rajashekhar, All India Radio 
Mysore Deputy Director (Technical) V. Srinivas and Information Department 
official Manjegowda. 
During the first day of the programme, road shows will be held at Ittigegud, 
Alanahalli, Kadakola, Mysore South, Bogadi, Yelwal, Bilikere and reach Hunsur 
for overnight stay. 
Tomorrow, road shows have been organised at Hunsur, Periyapatna, Bylakuppe, 
Bettadapura, Kanagal, Rawandoor, Kattemalalavadi and Gavadgere to reach K.R. 
Nagar for night’s halt. 
On Dec. 28, road shows will be held at K.R. Nagar, Hampapura, Mirle, 
Saligrama and Chunchanakatte, to return to K.R. Nagar for stay. 
On the concluding day, road shows have been organised at K.R. Nagar, Hunsur, 
Rathnapuri colony, H.D. Kote, Kabini colony, Saragur to culminate at Mysore. 
Superintendent of Posts S. Rajashekhar said that all through the road shows, 
pamphlets, brochures will be distributed to create awareness about the scheme 
which had so far failed to attract villagers.
