NGGOA gears up to join all India strike

Dear Comrades,

Following large scale protest from the central government employees’ organizations all over the country, consequent upon the unilateral decision of the Govt. of India to implement the 7th Central Pay Commission recommendations without any improvement as sought for by the Staff Side, a high level meeting was held in New Delhi late in the evening of 30.06.2016 which was attended by Shri Rajnath Singh, Home Minister, Shri Arun Jaitley, Finance Minster, Shri Suresh Prabhu, Railway Minister and Shri Manoj Sinha, Minister of State for Railways representing Govt. of India and Shri Shiv Gopal Mishra (Railway), Shri M.Raghavaiah (Railway), Shri K K N Kutty (Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers) and Shri C.Srikumar (Defence Employees) representing National Joint Council of Action of Central Government employees. 

Railway employees to join nationwide strike

Dear Comrades,

IN SOLIDARITY: Railway employees under the banner of the Southern Railway Mazdoor Sangh and All India Railwaymen Federation taking out a march to the Divisional Railway Office in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday to drum up support for the indefinite strike by Central government employees that begins on July 11.

MR. KANNIAH SAID THE AGITATION WAS NOT ONLY FOR SETTLING WAGE DISPARITIES BUT ALSO TO HIGHLIGHT THE ANTI-LABOUR POLICIES AND THE DECISIONS TO PRIVATISE RAILWAYS, DEFENCE, AND POSTAL WINGS.

Around 40 lakh railway employees will join the postal, defence and other Central government employees in the indefinite strike from July 11, working president of All India Railwaymen Federation (AIRF) N. Kanniah has said.

Against privatisation

Addressing a dharna organised by the Southern Railway Mazdoor Sangh in front of the Divisional Railway Office here to drum up support for the July 11 stir, Mr. Kanniah said the agitation was not only for settling wage disparities but also to highlight the anti-labour policies and the decisions to privatise Railways, defence, and postal wings.

Fare hike likely

If the decisions are not reversed, Mr. Kanniah said, freight and passenger fare will increase in Railways. The poor man will be made to suffer by multinational and private companies.

Lack of job security will create a serious social imbalance and upset social justice, he added.

Notice given

• The AIRF leader said the union had already issued a strike notice to the General Manager, Southern Railway, on June 9.
• Train services to be hit
• The strike will affect train movement, he said.

7 वें वेतन आयोग - वित्त मंत्रालय ने अपने बयान में 11 अंक के साथ रिपोर्ट स्पष्ट करने की कोशिश की

नई दिल्ली: सातवें वेतन आयोग (पे कमिशन) की रिपोर्ट लागू हो गई है। नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार ने 1 जनवरी 2016 से इसे लागू करने की घोषणा कर दी है। कुछ ही दिनों में सारी प्रक्रिया पूरी कर ली जाएगी और जुलाई या फिर के अंत तक मिलने वाले वेतन में इसे शामिल कर दिया जाएगा। सरकार ने घोषणा भी कर दी है कि इसी साल जनवरी से एरियर भी दे दिया जाएगा। इसे लेकर तमाम वेबसाइटों और आज सुबह के अखबारों में तमाम बातें लिखी गई हैं। बातें इतनी हैं कि कर्मचारियों के मन में तमाम सवाल पैदा हो गए हैं। इन सिफारिशों से 1 करोड़ से भी ज्‍यादा कर्मचारी लाभान्वित होंगे। इनमें 47 लाख से ज्‍यादा केंद्रीय सरकारी कर्मचारी और 53 लाख पेंशनभोगी शामिल हैं, जिनमें से 14 लाख कर्मचारी और 18 लाख पेंशनभोगी रक्षा बलों से संबंधित हैं।

Hike in Seventh Pay Commission salaries inadequate: Cong

Dear Comrades,

Congress tonight accused the Modi government of "letting down" Central government employees by "inadequate" hike in salaries and allowances in the Seventh Pay commission recommendations in time of run away inflation.

"98 lakh central government employees feel disillusioned, let down and short changed by the lopsided and inadequate hike in salaries and allowances by Modi government in these times of run away inflation and all round increase in prices", party's chief spokesman Randeep Surjewala said.

Claiming that the hike is the "lowest in the last seven decades", he said the hike in salaries and allowances is a mere 15 per cent on basic pay and not 23.5 per cent as is being wrongly claimed by the government.

"This gets even more stark when compared to the fact that 6th Pay commission had recommended a 20 per cent hike in salaries and allowances but the then Congress government doubled it to 40 per cent. 7th Pay Commission recommended a hike of 14.29 per cent and Modi government merely raised it to a pittance of 15 per cent", he said.

7th Pay Commission report creating huge gap between minimum, maximum wage: BMS

New Delhi, June 30 (IANS) The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) on Thursday expressed its "dissatisfaction" at the Seventh Pay Commission Report's recommendations, accepted by the government, saying a "huge gap" has been created between the "minimum and maximum wage".

"A huge gap has been created between the minimum and the maximum wage after the government approved the Seventh Pay Commission Report's recommendation," BMS general secretary Virjesh Upadhyay told IANS.
