Judge to officials: Don’t leave work to appear in court

Dear Comrades,

Taking a day off from their work on the pretext of attending a court hearing has become the latest trend among the government officials. A trial court has taken an exception to such practice as government officials "unnecessarily" appear before the court in matters connected to their department even when "the cases can be tackled by their advocates".

Senior Civil Judge Ajay Goel slammed such practice saying the work in their departments suffer due to non-availability of the employee.
