Postal official gets three-year jail term in bribery case

Dear Comrades,

A postal department official was sentenced on Friday to three years of imprisonment by a special CBI court for taking bribe.  The court also imposed Rs 10,000 fine on Kamta Prasad Sayalwar, a Sub Divisional Inspector with the Department of Post at Bareli in Madhya Pradesh's Raisen district.

Sayalwar was caught by a CBI team on March 16, 2011 while he was taking Rs 5,000 bribe from Sunder Lal Lodhi, a former postal employee, for forwarding his file related to retirement benefits.
