Divisional Union protests holding of official training/meetings on Sundays/holidays and writes to SSPOs / Circle / CHQ Union

Dear Comrades,

 

The Joint DWC of AIPEU Koraput Divisional Branch is going to be held on 6th Oct 2013 at Jain Mandir (in front of Head Post Office), Jeypore. But, Divisional administration issued separate memos for conducting official training programmes for different purpose on Sunday i.e. 6th Oct 2013 on a later date after receipt of our notice and granting of headquarter leaving permission to our members.

 

In protest, the Divisional union wrote to the SSPOs to postpone the official training programme on holidays with a copy to Com.R C Mishra, Circle Secy., Gr-C / Debabrata Mohanty, Circle Secy, Postmen & Gr-D and M Krishnan, Secretary General, CHQ, NFPE to intervene the matter. The letter is reproduced below.

 

All the Office bearers and DWC Members are requested to attend the DWC on 6th Oct 2013 at first floor of Jain Mandir, Jeypore.

Sub:     Organizing Meetings on holidays and Sundays – denial of legitimate right to the employees to avail Sundays/Holidays - Regarding.

 Sir,

Kindly refer to the orders of the SR Section, Directorate, New Delhi vide Letter No.16/56/2011-SR dated 8.7.2011 and refer to the notice submitted by AIPEU Gr-C, AIPEU Postmen & Gr-D vide Letter No.AIPEU/DWC/2-11/2012-14 dated at Jeypore(K) the 23.09.2012 in connection with holding of Joint Divisional Working Committee scheduled to be held on 6.10.2013 at Jain Mandir, Jeypore(K) with a request to issue suitable headquarter leaving permission to the office bearer and members of our union. Now, our union has learnt that Divisional Office vide Memo No. SB/NREGS-EFMS/350/2013 dated at Jeypore (K) the 01.10.2013 has instructed to attend one meeting to be held on 6.10.2013 both at Koraput and Rayagada. The order is a clear violation of the directorate orders issued vide Letter No.16/56/2011-SR dated 8.7.2011 where it has been clearly stated not to hold any meeting during Sundays/holidays. Also it may kindly be noted that much earlier to this Divisional Office order, the above mentioned notice for our joint DWC meeting was submitted and accordingly all the office bearer and members were informed to attend the said meeting. Now, due to the above activities by the divisional administration,  both the union and the officials will suffer a lot. Hence, looking the gravity of the matter, it is requested to postpone the above official meetings to a later working date and to enable this union to hold its meeting in a smooth manner. It is also requested not to hold any official meeting in Sundays/holidays day.
