Assistants held on 31-07-2016.
Pursuant to the Directorate letter
No.A-34012/04/2016-DE dated 14-06-2016, the LGOs Examination for the Year
2015-16 for promotion of LGOs(Postman/Mail Guard & MTS) was conducted
in-house ie by the Circle on 31-07-2016. After evaluation of the answer sheets
of the said examination on 05-08-2016, the merit list of the said examination
was prepared .
I am directed to furnish below the result of the
Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for the vacancies pertaining to
the Year2015-16 for promotion of Postman/Mail Guard & MTS to the cadre of
Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants held on 31-07-2016. The following
candidates are declared selected for Postal Assistant/Sorting Asst cadre as per
the merit list of qualified candidates prepared by the Circle. The names of the

The above selection is based on the following eligibility criteria for
qualifying in the examination as given below and merit position and existing
vacancies in the Division.

OC candidates
|
40 % in each paper
|
|
SC/ST candidates
|
33% in each paper
|
As per the Directorate’s instruction the surplus
qualified candidates of a Division are to be allotted to other Division, where
the vacancy remains unfilled due to want of qualified candidate in the said
Division on the basis of a combined merit list of such surplus candidates in
the Circle. For this purpose the surplus candidates are required to give four
options (name of Divns) of their choice in order of preference. The
allotment of such surplus candidates will be made subject to their merit
position in the combined merit list and existing unfilled vacancies in other
Divisions and choices exercised by the candidates. If any candidate can’t be
accommodated in the Division of his choice/preference then he may be allotted
to other Division where vacancy lies. The list of surplus candidates will be
submitted later on.
In case any mistake in the names and other
particulars of the candidate is detected the same may please be corrected and
the corrections may be intimated to this office also. This result is also
subject to any change in the merit list of selected candidates due to future
re-totaling or any reason in accordance with the existing rules and
instructions on the subject.
The concerned Divisional Heads are also requested
to verify the current status of candidate before implementation of result. If
any disciplinary/vigilance case is pending against the selected candidates,
promotion may be given following usual procedures in the matter. This office
should also be informed of the matter.
