ALLAHABAD: Postal department issued a Special Cover and cancellation
on Mahashivratri at a programme organised at Allahabad head post office.
Special cover and cancellations were issued by vice-chancellor of
Rajarshi Tandon Open University, Prof AK Bakshi along with postmaster
general, Allahabad Lt Col AK Gupta and director postal services,
Allahabad Krishna Kumar Yadav.
Prof AK Bakshi said in India,
since the ancient times we have a rich tradition of spirituality and
Kumbh portrays a small India which assimilates this tradition. While
praising the special cover issued on Mahashivaratri, he said that
through this cover the culture of Prayag and Kumbh will spread
throughout the country and the world.
