Decentralization of PLI/RPLI work.
This is regarding
decentralization of death claim settlement, survival benefit and surrender of
PLI/RPLI cases.
At present only RPLI death claims,
survival benefits and surrender cases are handled by respective regions. But
the entire claim cases relating to PLI is done at PLI section only.
As per provision of rule 52(1)(2)
of POLI rules 2011, PMG is competent to process the death claim as well as
survival benefit cases of PLI & RPLI and under the provision of rule 55, he
is also competent sanction surrender claims.
In view of above, I am
directed to intimate that regional PMG can also settle the death claim cases,
survival benefit and surrender cases of both PLI and RPLI, arising in respect
of their regions.
All the divisional heads
under the region of Sambalpur and Berhampur may be informed accordingly.
