ALLAHABAD: Heavy rush was witnessed at post offices in the city on Thursday as the process of selling of application forms for police recruitment examination began.
Aspirants had started gathering at the various post offices since morning to obtain form which is available in two formats. In the first category, there would be application forms in khaki envelopes to be given free of cost to candidates who had applied for UP Police Recruitment Examination 2011where the selection process was shelved by the state government. In the second category, application forms would be made available in white envelopes for Rs 200 to the candidates who are applying afresh. In order to obtain a free application form in khaki envelope, applicants would be required to submit an application and declaration in prescribed proforma submitting the last OMR application form number which is being pasted on the notice board of all identified post offices
There would be an orange OMR application form and khaki return envelope inside the khaki application form to be distributed free of cost. The colour of the application form sold for Rs 200 would be white and that of OMR application form inside it would be magenta while the colour of return envelope would be white.
The counter assistants at different post offices would provide two acknowledgement receipts with date stamped along with the complete set of forms. These receipts will be required at the time of submission of forms by the applicant. Completed forms would be submitted only at the post office from where these have been purchased. Under no circumstances, application forms would be accepted by any other post office. Only one set of application forms would be given to a candidate.
At Allahabad region forms are available at the head post office ( HPO), Kutchehry post office, City post office and those at Handia, Karchana and Sirathu post office in Kaushmabi district.
