Restricted Holidays to be observed by the Central Government Offices in Odisha
in the Calendar year 2014-Regarding
In accordance with DOPT letter No.12/5/2013-JCA-2
dtd.11-06-2013 and Central Government Welfare Co-ordination Committee, O/O the
Commissioner, Central Excise, Customs & Service Tax, Bhubaneswar-II &
Secretary, CGEWCC, Bhubaneswar letter No. IV(16)101/CC/CGEWCC/BBSR/2013/24728-795-A
dtd. 09-10-2013, all the Administrative/Operative Offices in Orissa Circle will
observe 17(Seventeen) Closed Holidays as shown in Annexure-B. In addition to these 17 holidays, each
employee of Odisha Postal Circle will be permitted to avail any 2(two)
Restricted Holidays to be observed by him/her out of the list of Restricted
Holidays shown in Annexure-A during the calendar year 2014. The list of Holidays may kindly be
circulated among all the sub-ordinate offices/officials under your control at
the earliest as possible.
Secondly as per the Directorate letter
No 21-1/2013-PE-II dtd, 22-10-2013 and DOPT letter No.12/5/2013-JCA-2 dtd.
03-09-2013, the birthday of Shri Guru Govind Singh falls twice during the year
2014 i.e. 07-01-2014 and 28-12-2014. The Restricted list of holidays
(Annexure-A)may stand amended to this extent.
As regards Idul’I Fitr, Idul Zuha,
Muharram and Id-e-Milad, the final date will depend on the decision of State
Government of Odisha and if necessary is liable to change without any formal orders.
