Sub: Holding of one PLI/RPLI Mela at Jeypore on 9.11.2013 – Regarding.
In pursuant to Chief Postmaster
General, Odisha Circle, Bhubaneswar Letter No.LI/Misc-2/09-10 Ch.IV dated 7.10.2013,
it has been decided to hold one PLI / RPLI Mela on 9th Nov, 2013 at
Jeypore. The meeting will start sharp at 1000 hours and will continue upto 1700
hours.
A target of
premium worth Rs.7 Crore and 100 RPLI proposals/Rs.10000/- Premium per month
per Branch Office / Rs.100000/- Premium per IPO/ O/S Mails/Direct Agents(PLI
and RPLI inclusive) including Departmental Employees provided with PLI code has
been allotted to this Division.
The following Departmental
officers/officials and all GDSBPMs/GDS officials having PLI/RPLI code and the
Direct Agents of above Sub Divisions will attend the said meeting in time
without fail.

/ Malkangiri / Nabarangpur/ Umerkote / All BPMs of above Sub Divisions / All
Deptl. Employees/ GDS(Provided with PLI Agent Code) /All PLI/RPLI Direct Agents
under above Sub DNs.
Each one of above sales forces are strictly instructed to
come with proposals for a minimum monthly premium income of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees
Ten thousand only) preferably from High value policies (PLI and RPLI both).
All the Sub-divisional Head/ Mail Overseers/ Direct Agents
including all Departmental staff are hereby assigned with a individual target
of procuring policies with minimum premium income of Rs.1 Lakh each from such
policies (PLI and RPLI inclusive).
Each BPM/GDS/DA (RPLI) staff will contact all the family
members of all the villages and collect not less than Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten
thousand only) premium income to be submitted at Mela.
Each DE/DA (PLI) will contact one Govt. office each to
procure at least sufficient number of policies from the organisation which
includes Govt./ PSU/ Banks/ Railways/ BSNL/ Schools etc. to achieve the
target..
All GDS BPMs/MDs/MCs etc who would attain such mela will
be on duty and will be permitted to come to venue by providing paid substitutes
in their place.
All concerned will
please ensure to start procuring business immediately so that the entire target
will be achieved by 9th Nov, 2013. All departmental employees who
are allotted with PLI/RPLI codes will be invited to the venue with the required
number of PLI/RPLI proposals and target premium income. All the
Rural SPMs will make all out effort and ensure cent percent achievement of the
target assigned to each BOs. The actual Bus fare will be paid to the GDS
officials on attending the said Mela. The IPO, Jeypore(K) will please make all
the arrangement (Venue, Meals/Tea, Transportation, Banners, Stage etc.) for
conducting the said PLI/RPLI Mela smoothly.
