New Delhi, July 11 (IANS) India Post said Wednesday it was offering special Rakhi envelopes across its post offices in Delhi on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan falling on Aug 2, 2012.
Priced at Rs.7, these envelops have been made waterproof in order to avoid any damage to them in this rainy season.
"For the benefit and convenience of its customers India Post has ventured to serve better by value addition to its core services," the Ministry of Communications and IT said in a statement.
"The special features of these Rakhi envelopes include excellent strength, tear resistance, light weight and elegant printability. These are available in size 11 cms x 22 cms and in different colours," it added.
The envelope flaps have peel and seal mechanism to protect Rakhi from damages.
The word "Rakhi" is written in english on the left hand top on the front side with India Post logo.
