Non-payment of Incentive to PLI/RPLI Sales forces: guidelines issued by CO, Odisha

Dear Comrades,

Department of Posts, India
Office of the Chief Postmaster General, Odisha Circle,
Bhubaneswar-751001.

No.LI/9-3/Incentive/2010                                     Dated 07.01.2013.

To
All SSPOs/SPOs in Odisha Circle.

Sub:  Non-payment of Incentive to PLI/RPLI Sales forces.

Ref: Directorate letter No. 35-15/78-LI (Pt) dated 07.01.2008 and 35-15/2010-LI dated 04.10.2012.

During the workshop held at Berhampur on 22.12.2012, two points were raised regarding the payment of incentive to sales force.

1-   Firstly, instructions exist that 90% of PLI incentive can be immediately paid on acceptance of a PLI policy and remaining 10% can be sanctioned only after verification of first 6 consecutive receipts. But since the verification of first 6 deposits is not being possible for subsequent months the 10% of incentives are not paid by Divisions.

2-   Secondly, whether incentive for subsequent premium @ 2% for PLI is payable to them i.r.o. business procured by them prior to 01.10.2009 or not.

In view of the above, it is instructed that

1-    The 10% of incentive may be sanctioned to all the sales force only on verification of first six premium deposits i.r.o. each policy subject to PPSS funds available at his end.

2-    Further it is clarified that the second and subsequent renewal premium incentives in PLI is payable only to DAs (PLI) and FOs(PLI) i.r.o. PLI policies procured by them w.e.f. 01.10.2009. Others are not eligible for this. The subsequent premium incentive is payable to all the sales force for RPLI business.

The relevant rulings are enclosed herewith for perusal.
