MANGALORE: Mangalore India Post will soon introduce online delivery tracking system to monitor the movement of its express parcel post service.
Officiating senior post master TB Harish said at customer meet here that the postal department has several plans of expanding its services. "India Post has plans to airlift cargo that are booked through express parcel post service. Online delivery tracking system will help customers to check the status. In addition, the department is providing logistic post service, wherein articles from 35 kg to five tons may be sent to various locations," he said and called upon customers to utilise the mobile money transfer (MMT) service to send money to dear ones through India Post.
Under MMT, customers may book transaction at post offices to send money. A secret code will be sent to the receiver and the same code may be produced at the nearest post office to avail the money, Harish said.
Senior Superintendent KA Devaraj, in his presidential address, said that people may approach the customer complaint cell if they come across any kind of deficiency of service.
